Stories for real connections.

Ideas for better conversations, a welcoming community and a safer experience.

Conversations

A good conversation starts with a little curiosity

A simple hello and an open question can help a new conversation feel comfortable. Ask about music, favourite films, hobbies or the language someone enjoys speaking. Give the other person time to answer and share a little about yourself, too.

Keep the conversation respectful. If a topic feels uncomfortable, suggest something else or end the call. Connection works best when both people feel heard and have room to choose what they share.

Safety

Keep your connections comfortable and safe

You can enjoy meeting people while keeping personal information private. Avoid sharing passwords, verification codes, payment details or your home address during conversations.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the app’s block and report features. Read the Safety Center and Community Guidelines before calling, and choose the conversations that feel right for you.

Find your words in a language you love

Speaking in a familiar language can make it easier to express a thought, tell a story or share a laugh. Use language filters to explore listeners who speak languages you enjoy.

Your app language and conversation languages serve different purposes: the app language changes interface labels, while conversation preferences help you explore people. Update either in Settings whenever you like.
